I see you've very succinctly integrated my chemistry lesson ;)

Tis a nice flame, though it seems somewhat dispersed. How did you achieve it in max? I do flames through photoshop.

Ah, nice wireframe blend. Good work. The green 2d is a little garish though. I think it probably would have looked better in a soft grey on dark grey background.

Thanks for the input!

The flames were created using a super spray particle system using facing particles a particle age material was applied to the diffuse channel with a noise material on each channel. A opacity map was applied to the particle syste as well with a radial gradient map and a "cloud like" material was applied to the central gradient channel. A LOT of tweaking was required.
